(#1.) How do I access Smart Data OnLine?

(#2.) What is Smart Data Online used for?
As an SDOL User, you can:
Review account information for your cards - You can review account information for your CMU Business Card, including authorization limits.
Review transactions for your cards - You can run transaction queries to review transactions posted to your cards for a specific date range.
Allocate transactions - When reviewing transactions, you can update allocation information (cost centers and GLs) so that the transactions are assigned to the proper accounts within CMU's accounting system. You can also split a transaction to allocate it to more than one account. Changes can be made to the accounting information in SDOL until the scheduled lockdown which usually occurs 4-5 days after the statement period ends. This eliminates the need for journal entries.
Generate reports on your card transactions - You can run statement reports for your card transactions. No more waiting for your credit card statement in the mail. Statements can be run on the 25th of the month. Get started on your Reconciliation For 1-2 weeks earlier. You can also set up your reports to be automatically
(#3.) Do I need to submit a new form to get access to Smart Data OnLine?
No. If you have access to PVS Net at this time, your account will transferred into SDOL.
(#4.) What is my user ID and Password? Do I use my PVS Net Logon ID to get into Smart Data OnLine?
You will receive an email in your CMICH email account with your login information.
(#5.) Will training for Smart Data OnLine be offered?
A training schedule is available on the Controllers website. You can sign up for a training by emailing Sara at yonke1sl@cmich.edu or Cindy at smith1cl@cmich.edu.
(#6.) Am I required to attend a training session?
No, training is not required. There are multiple training tools available. A training manual specifically for CMU has been created as well as an online training. SDOL also provides a user–friendly, online training module, a training manual, as well as online help (please be advised they are not developed specifically for CMU).
(#7.) Will I be able to access my historical transaction data on Smart Data OnLine?
Transaction history dating back to August 2006 will be available on SDOL. Account Allocation assignments made in the previous system (PVS Net) will not be available in SDOL.
(#8.) Will I still get a credit card statement in the mail?
You will continue to get the same report in the mail each month. There are two statement reports that can be generated in SDOL.
