There are two ways to change your Windows NT (CENTRAL) password, and users should keep in mind that changing this password not only changes your initial logon password, but your Web Mail and Dial-Up Passwords also.
1. It can easily be changed while logged into the CENTRAL Domain.
- Ctrl+Alt+Delete > Click "Change Password" button
- Enter Current Password, then the New Password and confirm.
- *NOTE* Passwords must be 8 characters and cannot repeat any of the previous 3 passwords used.
2. It can also be changed online.
- Open your favorite web browser and pay a visit to OIT's Web Site.
- Enter your Global ID and current password.
- Then once again enter your current password, followed by your new password in duplicate.
- *NOTE* While at this location you should proceed to set up your "security question" for OIT, incase you forget your password you can go to this same site and fix the problem. There are a list of sample questions you can use or you can make up your own; either way you enter your answer for that (and don't forget it) you are good as gold.
Outlook - Mail and Calendar
Outlook does not have its own password, it is part the CENTRAL login. When a user resets their CENTRAL password, their Outlook password changes also.
