SAP Local Printing
In SAP, local printing means printing to a printer attached to your PC, rather than a dedicated SAP network printer. If you need to set up local printing, see the printing documentation prepared by the SAP Information Systems department.
Local printing should only be used for small SAP reports, typically 5 pages or less. If you attempt to print larger reports, you may lock up your SAP session, so larger reports should be exported as a file and then opened in another application--for example, export your report as an Excel file, then open the file in Excel, where it can be further manipulated.
Problems with local printing are most often due to printing reports that are too lengthy. The reason is that the spool, or print, file that is created by SAP is too large to be handled by the local printing function. These jobs will be shown with a Process status, and there may be additional jobs stacked up behind it with a Wait status.
Often the only step you need to take is to delete the large job with the Process status, then try logging off and back on again, and local printing may resume without any additional intervention. All users have the security rights to delete their own spool jobs.
If local printing still does not work, delete all remaining print jobs (with a Wait status) and try again. Clearing the spool of all jobs should resolve the problem (you may need to log off and back again).
To view spool jobs, go to the Spool: Request Screen (/nSP01), or follow the menu path System > Services > Output Control.

In the Spool: Request Screen, your name will be displayed along with today’s date in the From and To fields. Change the From date to include possible old spools that may be the cause of the problem.
When the spool jobs are displayed, look for jobs with a Process status. Delete these jobs by selecting them in the checkbox on the left and clicking on the Delete (trashcan) icon.
