Rebudgeting PRIF and REF Grants

Effective March 1, 2005, recipients of either the President’s Research Investment Fund (PRIF) or the Research Excellence Fund (REF) awards will have authority to rebudget by up to 10% of the total expenditures within any approved budget category.

Rebudgeting authority will only extend to those expenditures approved in the proposal budget or listed in the most recently approved budget revision. Prior written approval is required for any expenditure that was not included in the original proposal budget. Project expenses may not exceed the total awarded budget.
